Have you ever wanted to measure between two arbitrary points on surfaces, but you don’t have geometry suitable for selection in the measure command? You may have tried to split the surfaces or even add points on the surface to measure between.
Measuring point-to-point is made easy by initiating the Measure command from the command manager or select Measure in the Tools drop-down menu.
Select point to point in the measure command. Then select two locations that represent the arbitrary points you are measuring between. You do not need to have an entity point, model edge or specific type of surface to make a selection.
You will now have a straight line point to point measurement between your selections. No need to create geometry or split faces.
