It has been brought to our attention that an update of the Kaspersky Anti-Virus on April 9th, 2014, may cause the SOLIDWORKS Toolbox and/or HoleWizard to stop working.

If you are experiencing this error message, “Unable to open master database due to the following access error: Cannot open the Microsoft Jet engine workgroup information file,” please take the following steps below to resolve the problem:
How to fix this issue:
- Perform a search on the C:\Windows folder for a file named “system.mdb”
You will find that this “system.mdb” will have been created on 4/9/2014 and have a file size of 0kb. - Delete this file and reboot the PC.
- Then re-launch SOLIDWORKS and verify that the Hole Wizard and Toolbox are functioning.
