It’s hard to believe that SOLIDWORKS World 2017 is already in our rearview. What an amazing time! This year may have been my favorite trip yet. We heard from people all over who follow our content online! Thank you all for tuning in and joining us on a regular basis. Our tech team here at CADimensions enjoys nothing more than learning and sharing what we know with you all! I was able to see a ton of friends in the SOLIDWORKS community and spend some time with Rob and Andy of the Chairslayer Foundation and Runnit CNC. You devotees may remember the interview that Rachel Diane York (SOLIDWORKS Community and User Advocacy Manager) and I collaborated on highlighting Rob in the SOLIDWORKS Community blog.
Rob and Andy presented for the 2017 Live Launch event in Waltham and they were able to bring Rob’s hand-control drift car out to show off this year in the partner pavilion!
We saw battle bots duke it out, watched as SOLIDWORKS CEO Gian Paolo literally stuck his neck out in a circular saw illusion, and listened to Mark Tremonti solo a guitar built by none other than the legend Paul Reed Smith, all designed in SOLIDWORKS. We got to learn about some cool new products and features, won some amazing awards, checked out a Paramount Pictures set, and I myself presented for the first time! It will come as no surprise to you regulars that I presented on my favorite new product in the SOLIDWORKS ecosystem, Visualize. With over 100 people in attendance, I had an absolute blast presenting my thoughts and workflow in SOLIDWORKS Visualize!
My presentation was riddled with animations and videos so I reformatted things slightly and added some notes to try to clarify what went on. Video slides are marked and I added a link to a video of mine on the topic wherever possible.
We hope to see you all back in sunny L.A. next year!
