We are currently looking for an enthusiastic self-starter to join our sales team. A successful candidate needs to demonstrate strong process-oriented skills, great organizational skills, thorough follow-up practices, have service-type solution sales experience and a proven track record of successfully meeting and exceeding quotas & goals.  Job requirements include calling on new customers and growing relationships with existing customers.

POSITION TITLE: Business Development – Product Solution Specialist 

LOCATIONS: Northeast Region (Candidate can be either remote or preferably near our headquarters in Syracuse NY)

We have an immediate opportunity for a Business Development Representative, focused on a product solution. The role is responsible for generating and qualifying new leads/prospects, as well as closing their own leads within the Engineering space, specifically focusing on data management and the electrical product suite. They must conduct comprehensive investigations regarding potential customers and analyze the data received to determine opportunity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

  • Contact potential clients through outbound calls and email campaigns
  • Make 80 to 100 cold calls a week
  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns and lead generation tools provided (Sales Loft)
  • Identify customer needs and uncover useful information 
  • Working with Vendors to establish next steps within the sales process
  • Working toward a sales target and achievement of that target after initial onboarding program
  • Focusing on the Engineering industry, specifically the electrical design and data management of the engineering process using a variety of software tools, as well as training and services around the customers’ existing process.
  • Updating Netsuite CRM and Sales Loft with all activities

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergrad Degree preferred 
  • Experience with Manufacturing or Engineering Education, is a plus
  • The rep will ideally have 1-2 years of experience in a similar outbound sales role
  • Superior virtual (MS Teams) and personal communication skills

  • Achievement of overall Leads Generate/New Opportunities goals 
    • New opportunities created monthly
  • Activity Targets measured through Sales Loft and NetSuite

BENEFITS:

  • $45-$50K base salary, with target earnings of $75K to $100K
