F870
The Stratasys F870 is a large-format industrial FDM platform purpose-built for factory-floor tooling. With the longest fully heated build chamber on the market, three new print heads, and up to two weeks of continuous unattended printing, the F870 lets you replace weeks-long tooling lead times with days. Toyota Production Engineering and Rivian Automotive were among the first to put systems on their production floors.
Industrial Applications
Bring your tooling in-house and produce it on your own timeline. The F870 prints large jigs, fixtures, check gauges, and manufacturing aids in a single build with a 1,000 x 610 x 610 mm envelope and a maximum diagonal of 1,171 mm. No sectioning, no bonding, no assembly step. The fully heated 95°C chamber holds a consistent thermal environment across the entire build length, which is what keeps large parts dimensionally accurate and free of warp, especially in carbon fiber reinforced material.
Match the print head to the job. The N14 handles precision tooling and check gauges at resolutions down to 0.18 mm. The hardened N20H is built to process FDM Nylon 12CF for structural fixtures and end-of-arm tooling. The N25 high-speed head delivers up to twice the throughput on ASA for high-volume fixture work. Four 4,100 cm³ spools with automatic changeover and integrated dryer bays support up to two weeks of continuous printing, so you can start a build Friday and come back to finished tooling. Those spools are shared with the F3300, which means one inventory across your FDM fleet instead of two.
Production Tooling, Jigs and Fixtures
Replace outsourced CNC or welded tooling with in-house production. Assembly fixtures, alignment jigs, drill guides, check gauges, and forming tools come off the machine in days instead of waiting weeks on a supplier. The N25 high-speed print head delivers up to two times the throughput on ASA, so large tooling moves fast without sacrificing accuracy.
End-of-Arm Tooling
Swap heavy machined-aluminum end effectors for lightweight FDM Nylon 12CF. Lower robot payload, faster cycle times, and geometry customized for each station. The hardened N20H print head is engineered specifically for composite material, and the fully heated chamber holds long EOAT parts stable through the entire build.
Large Prototypes and Bridge Production
Print full-scale functional prototypes up to a meter long in one piece. The same large-format capability supports low-volume bridge production and on-demand replacement parts, so when a component is hard to source and the line cannot wait, you make it yourself.
