Selecting the correct Windows graphic settings for SOLIDWORKS to only use the discrete graphics card can improve overall performance when working with Solidworks. A “few” years back (pre Windows 10) we could change this setting in the video cards control panel. Since Windows can now control more items at a hardware level and override settings from other applications, I have moved to setting this at the Windows level instead.
